I’ve Tried All Sabrina Carpenter Perfumes: Here’s How They Smell Like

Sabrina Carpenter is the new “it girl” of pop music, but you best believe that she is a master of many different crafts. Since her runaway hit Espresso last year, Ms. Carpenter has been all over my social media feed. As a lifelong lover of the pop genre, I, for one, am aboard her fan train. Her journey to fame as a musician has been nothing short of incredible.
Today, though, we are going to talk about Sabrina’s fragrances, because with them she has tapped into yet another love of my life — gourmand perfumes. Now, when I say I love gourmands, I mean I love gourmands. To me, no other fragrance family comes even close. So, imagine my delight one random day in 2022 when I found that Sabrina Carpenter was all set to launch a gourmand fragrance of her own, Sweet Tooth, in collaboration with Scent Beauty.
At the time, Steve Mormoris, founder and CEO of Scent Beauty, said: “We are excited to launch Sabrina Carpenter’s first fragrance to the market, furthering our commitment to bring consumers worldwide the most culturally relevant fragrances.”
Sabrina also went on record saying, “Creating my own fragrance has always been a dream.”
Following the successful launch of Sweet Tooth, Ms. Carpenter has added three new fragrances to the Fragrance by Sabrina line-up, and, lucky for me, it doesn’t seem she will veer away from gourmands anytime soon.
All this to say, I have tried every Sabrina Carpenter perfume, and here are my thoughts!
Sweet Tooth Eau de Parfum

About this fragrance, Sabrina commented:
“Everyone knows that I have a serious sweet tooth, which was the inspiration for the scent. It’s sweet yet sophisticated, with notes of ginger, marshmallow, coconut milk, sugared musks, and Chantilly cream.”
I have to say, I wholeheartedly agree. Sweet Tooth is “sweet”, hardly a shock, but it is also unexpectedly elegant and delicate. Candied ginger cuts through the creamy layers of chocolate marshmallow, vanilla, and Chantilly cream. I found the aroma delicious, indulgent, and playful. At the same time, it is sensual and intoxicating. A warning? You may find yourself questioned about your fragrance on the street from time to time.
If you would like to try a mature or spicier version of Sweet Tooth, then Baccarat Rouge 540 from Maison Francis Kurkdjian would be a great choice. The floriental fragrance smells luxurious and elegant, with prominent notes of saffron, jasmine, amberwood, ambergris, and sugar.
You should also try By Kilian’s Princess if you adore a dash of ginger in your gourmand fragrances. The soft and sweet marshmallow shines as the matcha accord adds earthiness to the scent.
Cherry Baby Eau de Parfum

Cherries and chocolate; it is difficult to go wrong with these primary notes. With Cherry Baby, Ms. Carpenter has created a gourmand that speaks to those who prefer fruity-floral perfumes above all else. The accompanying notes of red poppy, peony blossom, glazed apple, plum nectar, vanilla orchid, cashmere wood, and white musk complement the evergreen union of chocolate and cherry.
Here’s what Sabrina had to say about Cherry Baby:
“I wanted my new fragrance to be unexpected but something upscale and sophisticated while still feeling playful and provocative. Cherry Baby is timeless and flirty which encourages letting the sultry, glamorous side of you show in the best way possible.”
Unsurprisingly, I agree.
If you are interested in trying out more cherry-based fragrances, we highly recommend Bohoboco Perfume Wet Cherry Liquor. With notes of caramel, sandalwood, vanilla, cherry, and liquor, it is truly intoxicating.
Lovefest Burning Cherry | 48 by Kayali might also be right up your alley. It is a sensual fragrance with prominent woody and gourmand notes. The smokiness of burning cherries and raspberries is juxtaposed against delicious caramelized praline.
Caramel Dream

The one I was waiting for — a caramel feast for every gourmand lover. The inclusion of velvety dark chocolate beans took me by surprise but in the best way. With caramelized amber, citrusy notes (think sugared lemon and orange zest!), and nutty almond, Caramel Dream does keep me coming back for more, just like Sabrina promised. It captures the essence of a pastry shop that I would never want to leave.
If you are passionate about sweet gourmands with an edge and are looking to invest in niche fragrances that will get you endless compliments, check out By Kilian. Love Don’t Be Shy, in particular, pairs a delectable marshmallow sugar accord with a lush bouquet of orange blossom, honeysuckle, and rose.
You may also enjoy Yara by Lattafa, which has a striking blend of candied tropical and gourmand notes. The intermingling of vanilla, sandalwood, and musk in the base is lovely.
Me Espresso Eau de Parfum

If you are a fan of indulgent mocha coffees, with delicious milky chocolate and a drizzle of hot caramel, you will love Me Espresso. I absolutely adore Sabrina’s latest launch, and I might go as far as to say that this is her best yet. The composition is complex; you can detect the scent evolving slowly over time.
With cocoa powder and espresso bean, the perfume is able to offer a hyper-realistic coffee smell, but the edge is taken off by the lush florals, namely jasmine and vanilla orchid. Biscotti, caramel, whipped cream, and sugared amber in the base add a delectable sweetness.
If you want to try a niche perfume similar to Me Espresso, you can consider Bianco Latte by Giardini Di Toscana. It is a lactonic oriental-vanilla fragrance that smells stunning thanks to the intermingling of honey, vanilla, and white musk.
I should also mention By Kilian’s Black Phantom here. It is Me Espresso’s older, moodier sister and smells boozy, creamy, and addictive. Notes of rum, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and caramel add a richness that’s balanced by vetiver and sandalwood.
