Reliqvia by Filippo Sorcinelli is a very intriguing fragrance that evokes the scent of dry, smoky incense. It also has a slightly woody and mineral character. The scent is quite masculine and unusual, not a traditional “nice” perfume. It is different from other incenses I know: not sweet (Avignon, Jaisalmer, Ouarzazate), not green (Casbah, Eau Sacrée, Standard by Comme des Garçons), and not extremely smoky or barbecue-like (Bois d’ascese). Maybe there is some resemblance to the drydown of Kyoto by Comme des Garçons. I love it.
