Opus 1144 is a rich, oriental-spicy Extrait de Parfum meant to evoke the atmosphere and spirit of the gothic cathedral’s completion in 1144. It is a luxurious, very deep, and sophisticated composition with dominant notes of incense, resins, leather, iris, and vanilla.

Blind bought it because I couldn’t find it anywhere to try it and it was a succesful blind buy because I’m used to oriental fragrances and scents. I also grew up with incense smells like: myrrh, palo santo, frankincense and other traditional scents like rose, lavender and jasmine. Read some reviews that it smells like a “satanic priest” or “gothic church”, I have no idea how those should smell. It’s a sweet powdery oriental and the smell is heavenly. Definetly a +1 to my collection.

It’s a powdery oriental, something in the realm od Tom Ford Noir and Guerlain Shalimar. Extremely potent and masculine leaning. It does stand out amongst Filippo’s other stuff.

Baby powder. This is what all my friends say this smells like. I personally can’t say the same, for me it’s a nice floral powdery scent, not overly feminine. Not like other Sorcinelli stuff. Lasts pretty long, for me about 12hrs
