‘Love Island USA’ Star Leah Kateb Named Chief Creative Officer & Re-Founder of Skylar Clean Fragrance
0
From reality TV screens to the helm of a beloved beauty brand, Leah Kateb, breakout star of Love Island USA Season 6, is officially stepping into a powerful new role! Skylar, the cult-favorite California-inspired clean fragrance brand, announced yesterday, July 8, 2025, that Kateb has been appointed as its new Chief Creative Officer and “Re-Founder,” marking a bold new chapter for both the star and the brand.
Kateb’s journey to this executive position is rooted in a genuine connection. She first garnered attention from Skylar (and a viral social media moment) when she spotlighted their “Vanilla Sky” fragrance in her popular shower routine video. That authentic, organic endorsement sparked deeper conversations, ultimately leading to her unique new role.
Reimagining Skylar: Bolder, More Expressive, and “Hotter”
As “Re-Founder,” Leah Kateb is set to embed herself deeply within Skylar’s operations, leading the brand’s evolution across scent development, storytelling, overall brand vision, and strategic partnerships. Her mission? To usher in a Skylar that feels more sophisticated, expressive, and aligned with a modern, evolving identity.
“Vanilla Sky by Skylar was my secret weapon, warm, cozy, a little flirty,” Kateb shared in a statement.
“People always asked what I was wearing. I always knew I had a special connection to fragrance, but Skylar felt different. It felt clean, sexy, and completely me. So when they called, it just made sense. Now I get to help reimagine a brand I genuinely love, from the inside out. We’re making Skylar bolder, more expressive and definitely a little hotter. This next era is personal and it’s going to smell so good.”
Ross Sklar, CEO of Starco Brands (Skylar’s parent company), praised Kateb’s appointment, stating,
“To know Leah is to love her. Her innate sense of style, passion for fragrance, and rigorous work ethic make her an incredible match for Skylar. We couldn’t be more excited to officially welcome her to the Skylar family.“

Leah Kateb: A Force in Style and Entrepreneurship
Leah Kateb emerged as an undeniable breakout star from Love Island USA, captivating audiences with her unapologetic authenticity and electric charisma. Her distinctive eye for vintage style made her a verified trendsetter, and her one-liners often went viral on TikTok, contributing to one of the biggest social media surges in the show’s history. She quickly carved out a unique space at the intersection of influence and entrepreneurship.
Skylar, originally founded in 2017 by Cat Chen, was a pioneer in the clean fragrance movement, known for crafting hypoallergenic, vegan, cruelty-free scents free from parabens and harmful chemicals. With Kateb at the helm, the brand is embracing its Los Angeles roots more than ever, celebrating West Coast confidence and pushing the bounds of fragrance with adventurous new scents.
This collaboration signifies a fascinating trend of reality TV personalities transitioning into executive roles within industries they genuinely love, leveraging their organic influence and distinct personal brands to redefine established companies. For Skylar, Leah Kateb’s appointment promises an exciting, elevated, and undoubtedly “hotter” future.
