KATSEYE Unveils Their Olfactory Signatures: A Deep Dive into Each Member’s Go-To Perfumes

Beyond their captivating music and mesmerizing performances, the members of the global K-Pop sensation KATSEYE are now offering fans a fragrant peek into their personal styles. In an exclusive feature from Teen Vogue’s May/June 2025 cover story, Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae shared the beloved scents that define them, proving that a signature perfume is as much a part of their identity as their stage presence.
Here’s a closer look at the individual fragrances that are earning the KATSEYE members their well-deserved compliments:
Sophia: The Evolving Fragrance Enthusiast
Sophia Laforteza is undeniably the group’s resident perfume aficionado, influenced by her mom’s early introduction to scents. She fondly recalls her high school days with Bath and Body Works’ Vanilla Bean Noel.
“The green one, I literally was obsessed,” she shares, reminiscing, “and all of my friends from high school are like, ‘I remember you smelled like vanilla and sugar and cookies.’”
Her tastes have matured, with her current nighttime go-to being Bella Hadid’s Orebella in Blooming Fire.
“At night is when I wear perfume. Yoonchae always sees me at night before I go to bed, I spray perfume on because it feels more for myself,” Sophia reveals, noting its hydrating properties.

She also loves to layer, often mixing it with her “favorite perfumes to mix all the time is Jo Malone.” For daytime, she keeps it nostalgic and comforting with baby cologne, a tip from her mother.
Sophia emphasizes the role of perfume as an accessory:
“A lot of my scents depend on what I’m wearing… Even if it’s a photo shoot, I want to smell good because I can smell myself and I think it’s an accessory. Your perfume is an accessory. I always have at least two different kinds of scents on me. It’s always me matching the vibe.”
Manon: The Layering Connoisseur
Manon Bannerman shares Sophia’s love for mixing and layering fragrances, though her primary choices hail from the cult-favorite brand Le Labo. Her top picks showcase her versatile taste: the mysterious and feminine Le Labo Rose 31, with its blend of Centifolia rose and woodsy notes, and the “goated” classic Santal 33, a genderless favorite featuring cardamom, iris, and sandalwood.

For her layering experiments, Manon has been combining Glossier You Doux with Orebella’s Nightcap.
“I’m trying out. Every day it’s something different, but right now it’s the Orebella with the white Glossier,” she explains. “I don’t have a signature combo, but I just mix anything really. And if it smells good, it’s a win.”
Daniela: Sweetness with a Spicy Edge
Unlike her bandmates who enjoy layering, Daniela Avanzini prefers to stick to a single signature scent that mirrors her sweet yet complex personality. Her go-to is none other than TikTok sensation Kayali’s Vanilla | 28.
“The color is a good dark red, dark purple,” Daniela shares, adding, “I’m really big on vanilla stuff.”

Kayali describes this gourmand scent as warm and spicy, blending Madagascan vanilla orchids with Brazilian tonka absolute, musk, amber, patchouli, and brown sugar woods for an indulgent finish. While she’s exploring new fragrances like Orebella’s full line, Daniela is still on the hunt for her perfect layering combination.
“I’m always trying different combinations. I don’t have one [yet], especially now that I just got different types of perfume… I’m experimenting right now.“
Lara: The Sensitive Nose’s Floral Choice
Lara Raj, like Sophia, credits her mother for her appreciation of fragrances and also has a soft spot for Jo Malone. However, her forever go-to is a thoughtful choice for those with sensitive noses and skin: Dior’s J’adore Parfum d’Eau.
“[It’s] the one with no alcohol,” she explains. “It smells so good and it lasts a long time.”

This water-based formula, exclusive to Dior, features radiant jasmine, velvety magnolia, and fresh Neroli, placing it firmly in the floral family. Dior promises it’s “as intense and long-lasting as an eau de parfum,” a claim Lara clearly attests to.
Megan: Loyalty to a Timeless Citrus Floral
Megan Skiendiel boasts perhaps the most enduring signature scent within the group, having remained faithful to it since her early teens.
“I’ve been wearing that for five years now,” she proudly states. “I love it. It’s so good.”

This unwavering loyalty is directed towards Valentino’s Voce Viva Eau. This timeless, citrusy floral scent is anchored by notes of Italian bergamot, gardenia, mandarin, orange blossom absolute, and crystal moss accord, with a delicate touch of vanilla for sweetness. Megan’s consistent choice truly highlights her early discovery of what works for her.
Yoonchae: The Trendsetter’s Hidden Gem
As the maknae and the group’s de facto international trendsetter, Yoonchae Jeung keeps everyone updated on the latest K-beauty trends. However, for her personal signature scent, she ventures beyond popular Korean brands to Swedish perfumier Byredo.
While many Korean idols gravitate towards Byredo’s well-known scents like Mojave Ghost or Blanche, Yoonchae’s pick is a “hidden gem”: Young Rose by Byredo. This eau de parfum, fittingly described by the brand as “an ode to the perennial restlessness of youth,” features main notes of Sichuan peppers and ambrette seeds layered over damascena rose and orris, with a musk ambroxan base.

Whether it’s a familiar comfort or a unique blend, KATSEYE’s diverse perfume choices underscore their individuality, offering fans a new, aromatic way to connect with their beloved idols.
