5 Bortnikoff Perfume Facts You Should Know Before You Buy
Ever since its foundation in 2018, Bortnikoff has elevated itself as one of the most well-regarded premium niche fragrance houses. Yet, even fans of the brand may not know much about the company due to its relatively young age. If you’re interested in getting your first bottle, here are some must-know facts you should be aware of first.
1. Founder Dmitry Bortnikoff is Not A Perfumer by Profession
As a founder of such a great perfume house, you would expect Dmitry Bortnikoff to be a perfumer by profession. Surprisingly, that’s not true. In fact, Dmitry Bortnikoff is an architect and a perfumer by vocation. Yet, the combination of inspiration from his architectural career and passion for fragrances has turned out to be the ultimate recipe for success.
2. Bortnikoff Fragrances are Gender Neutral
The Bortnikoff brand doesn’t classify its fragrances by gender. Not on their official website and also on Fragrantica all fragrances are stated to be for ‘men and women’. This plays into the overall trend of the rise of unisex fragrances in the perfume industry today. Gender doesn’t matter, wear what you love!
3. Luxury Fragrances That Are ‘Great Value’?
‘Value’ isn’t really a term you would associate with a luxury fragrance brand offers fragrances with a significant price tag. Yet, this is kinda true, as the Bortnikoff uses 95-100% natural ingredients and applies traditional distillation techniques. Based on the reviews on Fragrantica and Parfumo, you’ll also find out its fragrances are well composed and have great longevity. As the saying goes “Price is what you pay, value is what you get!” Warren Buffet.
4. Sample First, Then Buy A Full Bottle
Blind buying fragrances will likely set you up for disappointment. Problem solved: What Bortnikoff does really well is that it offers a sample set to let you try out 13 fragrances at a small price.
5. Ensar Oud & Dmitry Bortnikoff are Friends
The last fact we want to share is that the two legends of the perfume industry Ensar Oud and Dmitry Bortnikoff are in fact friends! Watch the video below in which Ensar Oud interviews Dmitry Bortnikoff so that you learn more about his philosophy:
