This Barbie smells hella good! Unless you have been living a huge rock on the moon, you probably have seen the many teasers, trailers, video snippets of and reactions to the new Barbie movie, directed by the already legendary Greta Gerwig.
As Barbie was topping the movie charts during July and August this year, we have been delighted by all the pink outfits, drinks, cakes and, of course, pink and Barbie-inspired make-up looks on social media and in real life. Of course, we, perfume-lovers, will not be outdone and have now hopped on the Barbie bandwagon by imagining what kind of perfumes Barbie would like if she were our real life bestie!
With that being said, here are ten amazing perfumes that fit perfectly into our BarbieCore fantasies and will have you smelling like Barbie in no time. And the best thing is: some of these are now available in our online store!
Rose Rouge by Van Cleef & Arpels

Rose Rouge is a love poem to the goddess of all floral notes: rose. This delectably floral and fruity perfume makes us think of Barbie, relaxing on a literal bed of pink and red roses, enjoying a skyline view of Barbieland. After Rose Rouge greets you with a fresh blackcurrant and bergamot opening that already teases you with a hint of rose, it beautifully dries down and elevates a more velvety and sensual rose fragrance. As the day goes on, you are treated to a sweet but also earthy base of vanilla, cacao and musk that gives us visions of Barbie and Ken at a very romantic and luxurious dinner date.
Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf

If Stereotypical Barbie had a signature scent, it could very well be the much-loved Flowerbomb. Released in 2005, Viktor & Rolf’s now-classic creation is a magical, floral explosion that is ultra-feminine, delicious and surprisingly sweet. It is like walking through Barbie’s own opulent-smelling garden full of orchids, roses, jasmine, freesias and orange flowers – all notes that make the heart of this exquisite perfume. Add to that some vanilla, musk and patchouli and soon enough you will be Irresistible Barbie.
Casta Diva by Nobile 1942

Casta Diva is giving…Angelic Barbie. It opens with some alluring green and ylang-ylang notes before gently guiding you to its heavenly heart notes of frangipani, neroli and jasmine with a dash of osmanthus that gives Casta Diva a slightly lactonic quality. The base notes provide an almost divine warmth, owing to some quality oak moss, vanilla, musk and amber notes that make us imagine gorgeous celestial Barbies, singing to us the classic aria called Casta Diva, after which this perfume is named. This perfume is for the shy Barbies out there who love the Clean Girl aesthetic and a bountiful whiff of white and yellow florals.
Addictive Vibration by Initio Parfums Privés

Addictive Vibration is part of Initio’s The Absolutes Collection. Even though the bottle does not exactly scream “Barbie”, we cannot stress enough how very Barbie this perfume actually is. It is definitely for the bolder but nevertheless super feminine Barbies out there who prefer powdery, sweet, honeyed but not syrupy notes; who are not afraid of a hint of spicy orange and who can appreciate the wonderful way Addictive Vibration was able to balance sweetness with some gorgeous white florals. There is no doubt that this will be Barbie-approved in any season!
Sweet Diamond Pink Pepper 25 by Kayali

If you could visualize a color representation of Sweet Diamond’s main accords, you’d have no doubt that Barbie will have this as one of her staple fragrances especially on dance nights with the other Barbies! This perfume has it all: some sparkle from its bergamot note, a good amount of warm spice from its pink pepper and saffron notes, which are magnificently balanced with luscious feminine floral notes of rose, vanilla, orchid and magnolia. This flirtatious mix then gradually becomes more intriguing and slightly sensual as it stays longer on your skin where it showcases its lovely woody base of patchouli, musk, sandalwood and amber.
Meliora by Parfums de Marly

It is our firm belief that if Barbie had a favorite summer scent, it would be Meliora. Its opening bursts with a delightful blackcurrant and red fruits accord, immediately keeping you excited about its incoming heart notes. This perfume is deeply invigorating and fresh as it conjures images of us, driving our Barbie Corvette along the Amalfi coast at golden hour. Now, at its heart, Meliora lusciously and masterfully fuses together green and sweet accords, thanks to its ylang-ylang, rose and lily of the valley notes. But Meliora does not stop there. It has a dainty feminine core made of vanilla, musky and woody accords. A treat from start to finish!
Good Girl Blush by Carolina Herrera

The blush pink, stiletto-shaped bottle really says it all. In our version of Barbieland, Barbie would definitely not only own Good Girl Blush but will have a pair of stilettos that look exactly like its bottle. This perfume is soft, playful, romantic and super feminine as it opens with a fresh and citrus accord that prepares you for its lovely floral and rose notes at its heart. The peony note is, by far, our favorite as it eventually takes us to Good Girl Blush’s powdery and vanillic finish. This perfume is the epitome of sophistication and is suited for anyone who feels like a demure but modern Barbie!
Mmmm by Juliette Has A Gun

Indulgent is THE word to best describe the incredibly lush Mmmm by Juliette Has A Gun. If Barbieland were a gourmand wonderland full of raspberries, candy, vanilla treats and mouth watering caramel sauce, served on platters lined with jasmine, iris and orange blossom petals, Mmmm would be the embodiment of this delicious place. This perfume is so well-blended that even non-fans of patchouli have liked its presence as a base note because the sugary nature of this perfume excellently mildens patchouli’s harshness. Mmmm is for the Barbie girls out there who like to flirt with sweet innocence and edgy sexiness alike.
The Favorite by Penhaligon

We are IN LOVE with The Favorite’s bottle because it is undeniably something that Barbie would have on her make-up table at all times. However, we are even more in love with how this perfume makes us feel like Royal Barbies. The Favorite craftily blends powdery florals with fruits in both its top and middle notes. The mimosa note at its heart provides a much-welcomed brightness and radiance that later helps with enhancing The Favorite’s silky musk and sweet sandalwood base notes. It is youthful and dabbles in frivolity without losing its regal air at all.
Indian Dream by Mancera

Indian Dream is a splendid floral symphony both in its top and heart notes that remind us of that beautiful moment when summer golden hour finally slips into a comfortable summer evening. Imagine a slightly warm summer breeze, carrying a whiff of jasmine and rose straight to your pink Barbie cabana by the beach. The most exciting part of this perfume is its heliotrope note at its heart that later helps elevate the soft, vanillic, creamy and yet musky base notes the longer you wear this perfume. Indian Dream provides us with a dream combo of white florals and sweetness that is for the Summer Barbies out there who love a gorgeous sunset and a pink cocktail to round up the evening.
What’s Your Favourite?
And that wraps up our list of perfumes that will have you smelling like the iconic Barbie. The world’s favorite doll is undeniably fun, sweet, playful and the embodiment of femininity. However, she is also amazingly fierce, never innocent, extremely accomplished and strong willed. Now, whether you like your scents fresh, floral, vanillic or sweet, it doesn’t really matter. As long as you feel good, beautiful and empowered by your chosen perfume, we are super sure that Barbie would not only approve of it but will be very proud indeed. So, go and pick a cute outfit (preferably pink) and try one of our perfume suggestions above to start living your best Barbie life!
